I hold a Ph.D. in Engineering with focus on Machine Learning and I'm working for NVIDIA as Senior Research Scientist. My current research area is in alignment of Large Language Models (LLMs), but my previous main focus was in Multilingual Natural Language Processing for low-resourced BioNLP languages (e.g. Spanish and Portuguese).

In the past, I have worked with Biomedical Machine Translation, with focus on Neural Machine Translation and parallel corpora acquisition, and general Biomedical Text Mining, such as classification and Named Entity Recognition (NER).

I have also previously worked with data mining in the Chemical domain, more specific to Chemometrics. I developed methods of feature selection aiming at reducing the number of wavelengths in different spectroscopy techniques.
